Very rarely do you see rock stars in television commercials endorsing a product unless it's Nickelback and there stupid endorsement deal with Citi Card.  It should have been left at that.  It's awkward to see these musicians who pass off an aire of "F*** that!" when it comes to corporate America who then appear on our TV screens haucking some product.  Now I know a lot of bands have music that is used in commercials.  Hell, it's the one way to be certain to make money in the music business now-a-days.  Just look at the Black Keys.  Their music is all over television and the movies.  But, that's just it - the music.  You don't see Patrick Carney selling glasses for Lens Crafter's or Dan Auerbach selling beard conditioner. And that leads me to point of this blog.  What the hell is Smashing Pumpkins' frontman Billy Corgan thinking?!  He can be seen in this television commercial (below) for a Chicago furniture store.  The ad is just weird, and Corgan seems out of place and uncomfortable throughout the whole thing.  Watch for yourself and prepare to say, "WTF!"
