The Superman Trifecta That Never Was: Nick Cage, Tim Burton, & Kevin Smith!

Back in the late 1990's Tim Burton was suppose to direct a Superman movie written by Kevin Smith and starring Nicholas Cage. For some reason this never came to fruition, and sadly so. I know it sounds like a glorious train wreck for a superhero franchise. But, that's the beauty of this trio of Hollywood insanity. Burton is weird. Smith is a cult classic master (however, there is some serious tension between Burton and Smith). And Cage is, well, Cage - insane.
Fortunately we may get a chance to find out more about the Superman that never was thanks to director of Metalocalypse, Jon Schnepp. Check out his Kickstarter campaign.
