Some actors long for the role of a lifetime - a role moviegoers will always remember and admire.  Al Pacino has already achieved that with The Godfather and Scarface.  It looks like he's going to acheive it again, but not for the same reasons.  He has landed the role of Phil Spector in the upcoming HBO film:  Phil Spector.  The film revolves around Spector's sensational trial for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, and will focus on the eccentric music mogul's relationship with his defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden - played by Helen Mirren. 

The name Phil Spector should immediately bring visions of a wild, almost clown-like afro on a white man.  When I saw a picture of Pacino, in character as Spector, I immediately thought he looked like a Richard Simmons / Phil Spector love child.  Look the photos below and tell me I'm wrong.

I just hope HBO teams up with the Chia Pet manufacturers to bring us an Pacino-Spector Chia Head.   "Pa-Pa-Pa-cino!"
