This is going to hurt: Chrysler is ordering 93 original Dodge Vipers to be destroyed.
The pre-production modern muscle cars were donated to high school, community college and university automotive programs for research and, in the case of South Puget Sound Community College, promotional purposes, The Seattle Times reports.
This all comes after 2 cars “got loose” and caused accidents costing Fiat a good chunk of change. The cars are not street legal and if this happened again the companies would be liable so to avoid the risk they are ordering several million dollars in cars destroyed robbing schools of educational tools and promotional fund raising opportunities. Nice job guys.
